For the child you are making room for, and for you while you wait.
Fertility spells
I am Ivy, and of all the wishes that reach my table, the wish for a child is one of the most tender. The months of counting days. The tests in the early morning. The appointments, the treatments, the calm you try to keep for each other when another month passes. When you order my Fertility & Conception Blessing, I hold your hope at my table the same day, and write to you about what I felt there: a welcome for the child you are waiting for, and rest for you.
Many of you found me for this in my Etsy shop. It lives here now, at the same table, held with the same care.
What is a fertility spell?
A fertility spell, the way I hold it, is a blessing: an intention of welcome, held with full attention for the people hoping for a child. Your first names on paper, a nest of chamomile and rose petals, rose quartz, a candle, and words spoken softly as if the little one is already on the way home. It holds hope for you, so that you can put it down for a while.
It is not medicine, and it never replaces your doctor, your midwife or your fertility team. It walks beside them. What people tell me they feel afterwards is lighter: less alone with the waiting, and more able to be gentle with themselves and each other.
When people ask me for one
-
When you are just starting to try
Everything is new and hopeful, and a little frightening. I hold the welcome warm and your hope light.
-
In the middle of treatment
IUI, IVF, the appointments and the waiting between them. I hold calm for your body and your mind, beside everything your team is doing.
-
When it has taken longer than anyone knows
The months have become years, and people have stopped asking. I hold your hope for you, so that you can rest from carrying it.
-
For someone you love
A sister, a best friend, a daughter. You can order the blessing for them with their knowledge, as a gift of hope.
What happens at my table
Your first names go on paper and are laid in a nest of dried chamomile and rose petals, with rose quartz beside them and a candle lit for the child you are making room for. I hold the picture of your home with a little one in it, and I hold you: calm, cared for, and not alone with the waiting.
Your report arrives the same day, written for you alone: what I felt around your wish, and a small ritual of welcome for your own home. I never tell you when, and I never read your body for signs: that belongs with your doctor. I check in with you afterwards, and you can always reply to my e-mail: I read it and answer you myself. I wrote about how I hold it in how I do a fertility blessing as an Etsy witch.
Hope has always had its rituals
People have always found ways to say a child is welcome before it arrives. The pomegranate, full of seeds, has stood for fertility and plenty from ancient Greece to Persia. Rice and grain were thrown over newlyweds for a full harvest and a full home. Across Europe, stories of the stork brought babies to the rooftops of waiting families, and in many homes a cradle was made ready long before anyone knew it would be needed.
None of these ever promised a child. They said something simpler and just as important: there is room for you here. That is what I hold at my table.
What a fertility blessing cannot do
It cannot make you pregnant, and I will never tell you it can. I do not predict when, I do not guess a boy or a girl, and I never read changes in your body as a spiritual sign: every question about your body belongs with your doctor, midwife or fertility clinic. Please keep following their advice.
If you have lost a pregnancy or a baby, I am so sorry. Tell me when you order, and I hold your grief as gently as your hope; please also let someone close to you, or a counsellor, carry some of it with you. And if your report did not land the way you hoped, tell me within seven days and I put it right.
Your part, and it is the gentlest part
Choose one small corner of your home, a shelf or a windowsill, and make it the welcome place. Put something there that means hope to you: a flower, a candle, a stone, a small piece of cloth. Once a day, stand there for three slow breaths and say, in the present tense: There is room for you here, and I am cared for while I wait.
Then do one kind thing for yourself or for each other that has nothing to do with trying: a walk, a meal out, an evening off from counting. Hope grows better in a home where the people are looked after too.

Questions about fertility spells
What is a fertility spell?
A fertility spell, as I hold it, is a blessing of welcome: first names on paper in a nest of chamomile and rose petals, rose quartz, a candle and words spoken softly. It holds hope and calm for the people waiting for a child, beside their medical care, never instead of it.
Can a fertility spell help me get pregnant?
I cannot promise that, and no honest person can. What the blessing holds is hope, calm and welcome, and what people describe afterwards is feeling less alone with the waiting. Every question about your body and your chances belongs with your doctor or fertility team.
Can you tell me when I will get pregnant, or if it will be a boy or a girl?
No. I never predict timing or gender for a pregnancy, because it creates hopes and fears that no one should have to carry. What I can do is hold your wish with care.
Is it all right during IVF or other treatment?
Yes. The blessing asks nothing of your body and changes nothing in your treatment. Keep following your clinic's advice; I hold calm and hope beside it.
Can I order it for someone else?
Yes, as a gift for someone who knows about it and would welcome it: a sister, a friend, a daughter. Order in your name and give me their first names.
How much does it cost?
My Fertility & Conception Blessing costs €8.88, including the ritual, your written report and my check-in afterwards.
