What happens at my table
Losing something that matters has its own kind of panic. When people write to me about a lost ring or a grandmother's brooch, the object is rarely the whole of it. It carries a person, a promise, a day. I have held many finding spells, and the first thing I do is slow everything down, because what is lost is so often found by a calm hand, not a frantic one.
Your name and the thing you have lost go on paper side by side, tied together with a length of red thread, the old thread of finding. A candle burns, and I speak the old words that people have spoken to Saint Anthony for centuries when something was missing. Then I sit with the picture of the object back in your hand and watch for what comes: a room, a colour, a height, a direction, a word.
Your report tells you what came to me, where to look first and how to look, and gives you a small finding ritual of your own for the days that follow.
What I hold
Finding spells are among the oldest spells there are. In Catholic homes across Europe and the Americas people still ask Saint Anthony of Padua, the patron of lost things, to help them find what is missing, often with a little rhyme said out loud. In other kitchens a thread is tied around a chair leg, or a sock is knotted until the lost thing turns up. What all of them do is the same: they settle the one who is searching, and they point the mind back to where it has not yet looked. Can a spell really help me find something?
It cannot move an object, and I will not pretend it can. What it does is calm the search and point it: the pictures and places that come to me, and a steadier mind in you. Many people find what they lost in the place they were sure they had already checked.
What do you need from me?
Your first name and your date of birth, what you lost, when and where you last had it, and where you have already looked. The more you tell me, the more clearly I can see it.
Does it work for a lost pet or a person?
No. For a missing animal, contact local shelters, vets and neighbours straight away; for a missing person, contact the police. This spell is for lost things.
What if it was stolen?
Then please report it to the police as well. I hold the finding and tell you what I see, but a spell goes beside real steps, never instead of them.
