The internet knows me as the Etsy witch for weather, and I am glad of it: more than fifteen hundred brides, festival-goers and holidaymakers have found me that way, and the sky has been kind to most of them. But the question I am asked most quietly is not about weather at all. It usually comes with an apology first, and then: do you do love spells? I do. Just perhaps not the kind you have been warned about. So here is the other half of the answer to the question I get most: what do you actually do?
This is how I do a love spell, step by step, how I hold it, and what you can do at your own table this week.
First, what a love spell is
In my hands, a love spell is an intention for love, held with full attention for one person: your name and your wish on paper, a candle, and words spoken aloud as already true. It works on the side of love that is yours: the way you see yourself, the love you are ready to let in, the warmth between you and someone who already loves you. When that shifts, people notice. You carry yourself differently, you choose differently, and love has somewhere to land.
It is also very old. People have asked for love for as long as there have been hearts: the apple peel thrown over the shoulder to show the first letter of a name, rose petals under the pillow, a sprig of rosemary tucked into a bride's bouquet for faithfulness, the petals of a daisy pulled one by one. And it stands on the same ground as the law of attraction: love comes towards the person who already feels worthy of it. I hold that feeling with you, and for you.
How I hold a love spell
A love spell at my table is an invitation, not a binding. I work with your side of love, and I leave everyone else's free will exactly where it belongs: with them. So I never tie a person to you, pull someone back against their heart, or come between two people. Love that has to be forced does not stay, and the love I hold for you is the kind that stays. If your heart is with one particular person, I can read the dynamic between you with care and honesty, and I can hold your side of it: your clarity, your courage, your openness. What they do with that is theirs to choose, and that is exactly what makes it real when they choose you.
What happens when your order comes in
Your name and your date of birth go on paper, in my handwriting, and beneath them your wish in your own words: to love yourself again after a hard year, to meet someone who is ready, to feel close again to the person beside you. Your words, not mine. I keep the papers of one day together, and I sit down with them at my table.
A candle is lit for you, pink if I have it, and beside it a piece of rose quartz, the oldest love stone there is. Then I do the thing I believe in more than anything else in this work: I speak your intention aloud, in the present tense, as if it is already so. Not "please let someone love me", but "you are loved, and you let it in". And I feel it, in my body, the way you will feel it: the softness in the chest, the ease of being wanted without having to earn it, the laugh that comes easily again. I stay there, in a quiet that is yours alone, until the feeling is whole.
I believe words have power and emotions have power, and that when the two meet, something happens that I can only describe as a field. I have watched too many people come home to themselves this way to explain it away. I also do not need to explain it. I just do it, every day, for the names on my table.
Then I write to you
When the candle is out, I write down what I noticed while I held your heart: the feeling of it, where love was already moving, the one or two places that were still guarded, and the timing as it came to me, in universal terms. That becomes your report. It is written for you alone, from what you shared and what I sensed, and it arrives the same day, seven days a week, during my active hours.
The report ends with one sentence to say to the mirror: short, in the present tense, about you and love. Most people tell me afterwards that this sentence is the thing they remember.
Your part, and it is the strongest part
Every day for a week: a candle, a glass of water, and a moment with yourself in the mirror. Look at yourself the way someone who loves you would. Say your sentence aloud, feel it for three slow breaths, and drink the water. Then do one thing the next day that a person who knows they are worth loving would do: leave the message that makes you small unanswered, say yes to the invitation, wear the thing you save for special days, tell someone you love them first. Two people holding one clear picture pull harder than one, and your own choices remain the strongest force there is.
And then I stay with you
This is the part I care about most, and the part that is different from a listing you order and forget. Afterwards I check in with you. You receive my small guide After Your Reading, with the morning ritual: a candle, a glass of water, one sentence, one true feeling, and a thank you. Aftercare is not an extra with me; it is the norm, because this work can shift things, and I want you to leave my table with more strength, energy and clarity than you arrived with.
What comes back to my table
I would rather show you than tell you. These are about love, and I read each of them twice.
"Each experience with Ivy is personal.. There is a unique thoughtfulness, accuracy and generosity that she provides, with the services she provides. She doesn't just take your money and disappear leaving you with a broad message that works for everyone.. She is responsive and each response is thoughtful, providing a sense of clarity and relief that you didn't have before."

"After this reading, I decided to have a soul mate reading completed, which again went really well and surprised me! Although those readings happened a few days ago now, Ivy has followed up on all the responses I've sent and even gone out of their way to check in with me!"

"Great focus and detail. Always supportive"

I did not write their love stories. They are writing them. I held the picture, and something met them halfway.
Which one is yours?
If you are ready for new love, for the person you have not met yet, begin with the Love Attraction Ritual; it is the love spell I hold for calling someone in. If the love you need first is your own, after a breakup, after years of giving, or when the mirror has not been kind, the Self-Love Ritual comes before it. If you want to understand where you stand with someone, the Love Reading reads the dynamic between you with honesty and care, and I wrote about how I read for love as well. The Soulmate Reading looks at the love you are walking towards. And if love is already here and about to be promised, the Proposal Blessing and the Marriage Blessing hold the question and the marriage. A reading beside a ritual is always half price. All my love spells are together on my page about love spells.
If you would like a stone to wear, rose quartz is the classic, and moonstone is lovely for new love; you will find both in my guide to crystal meanings.
Is it different on my own site?
Same ritual, same table, same report. Here it is one price, held the same day, seven days a week, with a reading at half price beside it if you want one, and all of the aftercare included. And you can write to me directly, as a real message, at any point. I answer every one myself.
Questions people ask me about love spells
Are you the same Etsy witch who does the weather spells?
Yes. Same table, same candle, same care. Weather is what the internet found first; love, work, home and money have been on my table just as long.
Do you do love spells to bring someone back?
A love spell at my table is an invitation, not a binding: the other person's free will stays with them, because love that has to be forced does not stay. What I can do is read where you stand with them, with the Ex & Silence Reading or the Love Reading, and hold your side of it: your clarity, your courage and your openness.
What do you need from me for a love spell?
Your first name, your date of birth and your wish in your own words. One true detail makes it warmer: what the last year has been like, what you are ready for, what you would love to feel again.
What can I expect?
A ritual held with care on the day you order, a report written for you alone, and afterwards I check in with you. I promise no outcome: this is spiritual guidance, offered for entertainment purposes, alongside good friends and good advice and never instead of them. What I give you is my full attention, and a way back to the love that is yours.
If your question is new love, begin with the Love Attraction Ritual. If it is love for yourself, the Self-Love Ritual. If it is someone in particular, the Love Reading. And if you are not sure, the spell finder asks you one question and shows you what I would hold.
Go well, and let it in.
Ivy
