The internet knows me as the Etsy witch for weather, and I am happy to be: more than fifteen hundred brides, festival-goers and holidaymakers have found me that way, and the sky has been kind to most of them. But if you asked me what weather really is, at my table, I would say it is luck: the one thing on a big day that no amount of planning can reach. So it will not surprise you that luck is one of the things people ask me for most. The exam you have studied for. The audition. The viewing where twenty other people are standing in the same hallway. The cake for your sister's wedding. So here is the other half of the answer to the question I get most: what do you actually do?
This is how I do a luck spell, step by step, and what you can do at your own table this week.
First, what a luck spell is
In my hands, a luck spell is an intention for one moment, or one season, held with full attention for one person: your name and your moment on paper, a candle, and words spoken aloud as already true. It does not sit the exam for you and it does not pick the winning number. It works on the part of luck that belongs to you: the steady hands, the clear head, the readiness to say yes when the chance arrives. The people everyone calls lucky are very often the people who were ready at the right moment. That readiness can be held.
It is also very old. People have carried luck with them for as long as there have been moments that mattered: a four-leaf clover pressed in a book, a horseshoe over the door with its ends turned up so the luck cannot run out, a coin in the shoe on the day of an exam, something borrowed on a wedding day, a green stone in a traveller's pocket. And it stands on the same ground as the law of attraction: what you picture with feeling, as if it has already gone well, you draw towards you. I hold that picture with you, and for you.
What happens when your order comes in
Your name and your date of birth go on paper, in my handwriting, and beneath them the moment you are preparing for, in your words: the date, the place, the thing you have worked for. Your words, not mine. I keep the papers of one day together, and I sit down with them at my table.
A candle is lit for you, and beside it a piece of green aventurine, the old stone of luck and open doors. Then I do the thing I believe in more than anything else in this work: I speak your intention aloud, in the present tense, as if it has already happened. Not "please let it go well", but "her hands are steady, her mind is clear, and it goes her way". And I feel it, in my body, the way you will feel it when you walk out of the room: the breath that finally goes all the way down, the lightness, the grin you cannot quite hide. I stay there, in a quiet that is yours alone, until the feeling is whole.
I believe words have power and emotions have power, and that when the two meet, something happens that I can only describe as a field. I have seen it meet too many people on their big day to explain it away. I also do not need to explain it. I just do it, every day, for the names on my table.
Then I write to you
When the candle is out, I write down what I noticed while I held your moment: the feeling of it, where it was already running smoothly, the one or two places where the nerves were loudest, and the timing as it came to me, in universal terms. That becomes your report. It is written for you alone, from what you shared and what I sensed, and it arrives the same day, seven days a week, during my active hours. Read it before you walk in.
The report ends with one sentence to carry into the moment itself: short, in the present tense, about you. Say it once at the door. Most people tell me afterwards that this sentence is the thing they remember.
Your part, and it is the strongest part
Every day until your moment: a candle, a glass of water, and three slow breaths with the moment in front of you as if it has already gone well. See yourself walking out, see the message you send afterwards, feel the relief and the pride. Say your sentence aloud and drink the water. On the day itself, carry something small that reminds you: a green stone, a coin in your shoe, the sentence written on the inside of your wrist. Then do the part that is yours: prepare, rest, and show up. Luck loves a person who is ready. Two people holding one clear picture pull harder than one, and your own choices remain the strongest force there is.
And then I stay with you
This is the part I care about most, and the part that is different from a listing you order and forget. Afterwards I check in with you, and I want to hear how it went. You receive my small guide After Your Reading, with the morning ritual: a candle, a glass of water, one sentence, one true feeling, and a thank you. Aftercare is not an extra with me; it is the norm, because this work can shift things, and I want you to leave my table with more strength, energy and clarity than you arrived with.
What comes back to my table
I would rather show you than tell you. These are about luck, and I read each of them twice.
"I had Ivy conduct a luck and success spell to help me bake and assemble my sister's wedding cake. The cake turned out wonderful and I thank Ivy so much for her work!"
Kelsey, September 2026
"I knew instantly how much I aligned with Ivy and the energy did not miss! The spell was spot on and she checked in between, and it was great to share what we had both felt and noticed. She is so authentic and has wonderful energy and intentions! Would 100% reccomend and will continue to shop with her x"
Laura, September 2026
"Ivy offered more than just a spell, she also offered great advise! Also she was very fast"
Marinka, September 2026
I did not bake that cake. Kelsey did. I held the picture, and her hands were steady.
Which one is yours?
If there is one moment that decides it, an exam, an audition, a launch, a match, a viewing, begin with the Luck & Success Ritual. If the moment is a job interview, the Exam & Interview Blessing is held for that one day, with a sentence to carry into the room; I wrote about how I do a job spell too. If it is not one moment but everything, and you keep arriving at the same wall, the Road Opener Ritual looks at that wall from your side. And if you have wishes you have never said out loud, the Make a Wish Ritual holds up to three of them. Whichever you choose, a reading beside it is half price.
If you would like a stone to carry on the day, green aventurine and sunstone are the two I reach for; you will find both in my guide to crystal meanings.
Is it different on my own site?
Same ritual, same table, same report. Here it is one price, held the same day, seven days a week, with a reading at half price beside it if you want one, and all of the aftercare included. And you can write to me directly, as a real message, at any point. I answer every one myself.
Questions people ask me about luck spells
Are you the same Etsy witch who does the weather spells?
Yes. Same table, same candle, same care. Weather is what the internet found first; luck, work, love, home and money have been on my table just as long.
What do you need from me for a luck spell?
Your first name, your date of birth and the moment in your own words: what it is, when it is, and how you have prepared. One true detail makes it warmer, like the name of the school, the song you will sing or the street of the house you hope to get.
When should I order a luck spell?
Any time before your moment. It is held the same day, seven days a week, during my active hours, so a day or two ahead is enough. Many people order a few days early so they can do their own part every day until then.
What can I expect?
A ritual held with care on the day you order, a report written for you alone, and afterwards I check in with you. I promise no outcome: this is spiritual guidance, offered for entertainment purposes, and it sits beside your own preparation, never instead of it. What I give you is my full attention, and a way to walk in feeling ready.
If your question is one big day, begin with the Luck & Success Ritual. If the road itself feels stuck, the Road Opener Ritual. And if you are not sure, the spell finder asks you one question and shows you what I would hold.
Go well, and may it go your way.
Ivy
