You have done the sums twice and they come out the same. You are careful, you work hard, and still money takes up more room in your head than it deserves. It is there when you wake up, it sits beside you at dinner, and lately you have noticed that you have started to think small.
If that is where you are right now, this letter is for you. It tells you what a money ritual is, where it comes from, what I do when you hand me yours, and what you can do yourself to become a magnet for what is already on its way to you.
What is a money ritual, and how does it work?
A money ritual is an intention for abundance, held with full attention: your name and your intention on paper, a candle, and words spoken aloud as already true. It works on the one thing every opportunity meets first, which is you. Calm around money widens your view, and a wider view sees the doors that worry walks past.
Older than any of us
People have asked for plenty for as long as there has been a harvest to count. The word money itself comes from a temple: the Romans struck their coins beside the house of Juno Moneta on the Capitoline hill, and her name is still in your wallet every day. In India, on the darkest night of autumn, families light rows of small lamps at Diwali so that Lakshmi, goddess of wealth and good fortune, can find her way to their door. At Lunar New Year, red envelopes pass from older hands to younger ones. In Italy, lentils are eaten as the old year turns into the new, because they look like small coins. And in more countries than I can count, a wallet is only ever given as a gift with a coin already inside.
What I love about all of these is that they are about welcome. A lamp in the window, a coin in the purse, a full plate as the year turns: each one says there is room here. That is the oldest money wisdom there is. Abundance goes where it is expected.
What I do at my table
When you order a Money & Abundance Ritual, I write your name and your date of birth on paper, together with your intention in your own words. I light a candle for you and speak the intention aloud: abundance, calm around money, an open door to opportunity. Then I stay in the quiet with your situation alone, until it feels held.
Afterwards I write your report from my notes: how I prepared your ritual, what I worked with and why, how the symbols I chose connect to what you told me, what I noticed while your intention was held in the light, how to receive this energy, and a few small gestures to carry with you. It reaches you the same day, and afterwards I check in with you. You can always reply to my e-mail: I read it and answer you.
See it, feel it, draw it in
Here is what I believe, and what I work with every day. What you hold in your mind with feeling, you draw towards you, the way a magnet does. That is the heart of the law of attraction, and the lamps for Lakshmi knew it long before it had a name. A number on a vision board is a wish. The feeling of enough is what gives it pull.
So when you have a quiet moment, put the banking app away. Light a candle, pour a glass of water and lay one coin beside it. Close your eyes and step into an ordinary day in which money is simply fine: the bill you pay as soon as it arrives, the dinner you say yes to with a light heart, the message from your bank that makes you smile. Stand inside it until you can feel it in your body, the loose shoulders and the long, easy breath. Then say one sentence aloud, in the present tense: money comes to me with ease, and I handle it well. Drink the water, and keep the coin in your wallet as a reminder.
Then, and this is the part that makes it a ritual and more than a daydream, do one thing that the person in that picture would do. Send the invoice. Ask for the conversation about your pay. Open the envelope you have been walking around. Your choices are where your power lives, and a held intention makes them easier to make.
What came back to my table
"I feel a weight lifted off my shoulders"
Donna, July 2026
"Very good I feel something shifted in me, thank you"
Peter, July 2026
"I also appreciated that the reading didn't feel fear-based or pushy, but instead focused on encouragement, intention, and moving forward with confidence."
Dana, September 2026
These were written after money rituals at my table, and I read each of them twice. Look at the words they chose: a weight lifted, something shifted, confidence. That is where abundance begins, and every step after it was theirs.

Questions people ask me about money rituals
When is the best time for a money ritual?
Tradition loves a Thursday, the day of Jupiter, planet of growth, and the days after a new moon. I love the moment you are about to act: before a negotiation, at the start of a month, on the day you decide that things may become easier. Your ritual is held the same day you order.
Can I ask for a specific amount?
You can tell me anything, and it helps me understand you. I work towards calm, openness and opportunity, and I say so in your report. A sum is a wish; the ease you want to feel around money is the intention I hold.
I am in real financial trouble. Is this for me?
I will hold your intention with care, and your report will give you calm and one step. For debt or money decisions, please also talk to a financial adviser or a debt counsellor in your country. A ritual belongs beside that help.
What do you need from me?
Your first name, your date of birth and your intention in your own words. One true detail makes it warmer: the invoice you are waiting for, the leap you are weighing, what you would do first if money felt easy.
What can I expect?
A ritual held with care on the day you order, a report written for you alone, and afterwards I check in with you. I promise no outcome: this is spiritual guidance, offered for entertainment purposes, alongside good financial advice and never instead of it. What I give you is my full attention, and a calmer way of looking at what is yours to do.
If you would like to read on, my letters on how I hold a money spell, step by step, a luck spell for the moment that matters and a career ritual for your work walk the same road from another side.
Light the lamp and leave the door open. There is room here.
Ivy
