I am Ivy, and money is the quiet question under almost every name on my table. The bill that arrives before the pay does. The raise that keeps being postponed. The house that will not sell, the business that is good but not yet paying, the debt that follows you from month to month. When you order a money spell, I hold your abundance at my table the same day, and write to you about what I noticed and what to do next.

What is a money spell?

In my hands, a money spell is an intention for abundance, held with full attention for one person: your name and your wish on paper, a candle, and words spoken aloud as if they are already true. It does not print money and it does not move a number in your bank. It works on the thing that decides most of what money does in a life, which is the way you stand towards it. Braced or open. Avoiding the letter or opening it. Thinking small or asking what you are worth.

When that shifts, the opportunities that were always near become visible, and you say yes to the right ones. That is why I call it a spell and mean it, and why I will also tell you plainly, further down this page, what it cannot do.

What happens at my table

1. You tell me where you stand

   Your first name, your date of birth, and in your own words what you want: the sum you need, the work you want paid for properly, the debt you are ready to set down, the sale you wish for. You do not have to tell me amounts. Your words, not mine.

2. I hold your spell the same day

   Your name goes on paper in my handwriting, with your wish beneath it. A green candle is lit for you, with a pinch of cinnamon to warm what has been stuck, a bay leaf to carry the wish, and a coin from my own purse beside it. Then I speak your intention aloud in the present tense, as if it is already so: not "please let the money come", but "there is enough, and more arrives easily". And I stay with that feeling until it is whole.

3. I write to you

   Your report arrives the same day, written for you alone: what I worked with and why, where I felt the flow already moving, the one or two places that were holding on too tightly, and one sentence to carry with you. Most people tell me afterwards that this sentence is the thing they remember, usually at the till.

4. And I stay with you

   Afterwards I check in with you, you receive my small guide After Your Reading, and my door stays open: reply to any of my e-mails and I answer.

Money magic is older than money

People have always made a little room for plenty. In Britain a bride still tucks a silver sixpence into her shoe, the last line of the old Victorian rhyme, so the marriage never goes short. In Italy a plate of lentils is eaten as the new year begins, because every small round lentil looks like a coin. Many Japanese shops keep a beckoning cat in the window, one paw raised to wave in customers and good fortune. At Lunar New Year money is given in red envelopes, so the year begins with something in your hands. And in British kitchens a silver coin has been stirred into the Christmas pudding for generations, for whoever finds it to have a prosperous year.

Under all of them sits the same simple idea that I work with: make room for plenty, and expect it. I just do it with one name at a time, on purpose, and with my whole attention.

The letters that make my week

At the end of August a woman came to my table with a money ritual. About four weeks later she wrote to me again, with more exclamation marks than words: she had just found out she was getting a substantial bonus. I share it here without her name. The bonus was hers; she had earned it with her own work, and I would never claim it for my candle. But I keep letters like hers, because they remind me why I sit down at this table every day.
