The 10/10 portal
I am Ivy, and some dates seem to make a promise all on their own. On Saturday 10 October 2026 the calendar reads 10/10, and on the very same day the moon is new. A date for beginnings falls on the night the sky begins again. If you have been waiting for a sign to start something, this is about as clear as the sky gets.

What is the 10/10 portal?
In numerology, one is the number of beginnings and zero is the number of wholeness: the open circle, everything still possible. On the tenth day of the tenth month that pair appears twice, which is why people call the day a portal or a gate. It is a day for one thing above all: to begin, on purpose.

10/10 in 2026: a new moon on the same day
In 2026 the 10/10 falls on a Saturday, and the moon is new that very day, in Libra, the sign of balance, fairness and the people beside you. The new moon is the quietest point of the moon's month, the moment the next cycle begins. A date for beginnings on the night of beginnings: the two point the same way.
Libra gives this new moon its own flavour. It is a good moment for intentions about balance: between giving and receiving, between work and rest, between what you do for others and what you allow for yourself.
Older than any of us
Number portals are a young custom, but the new moon is one of the oldest moments people have ever marked. In Britain and Ireland the first sliver of a new moon was greeted with a bow, and the coins in your pocket were turned over so that they would grow with the waxing moon. Many calendars, from the Jewish to the Islamic to the Chinese, still begin their months with the new moon or the first crescent after it.
What all of them share is how practical they are. Nobody waited for permission. They chose a moment, said what they wanted, and began. The 10/10 new moon simply gives you a very good moment to choose.

Write "I am in the work that fits me", where you would normally write "I hope to find a better job". Present tense, first person, your own words.

An intention can include the people you love, but it works on your road and leaves everyone else free on theirs.

See it in detail and feel what it is like to live inside it: the ease, the pride, the quiet joy. What you hold in your mind with feeling, you draw towards you like a magnet. That is the heart of the law of attraction, and of every new moon custom there is.
A small 10/10 ritual for your own table
At 10:10 in the morning or the evening of Saturday 10 October, light a candle and pour a glass of water. Write your one intention on a slip of paper, as if it is already true, and read it aloud once, slowly. Close your eyes and stand inside it for three slow breaths. Then drink the water and turn over a coin in your pocket, the way people have for centuries.
The next day, do one small thing that the person in your intention would do. Keep the paper somewhere you will see it until the full moon of 26 October. Your own choices remain the strongest force there is, and this one costs nothing but a minute.
What I hold at my table
On Saturday 10 October I hold my New Moon Intention Ritual. I speak your intention aloud in the present tense, as already true, and your report is in your inbox the day after, on Sunday 11 October.
