What happens at my table
Of all the wishes that reach my table, this is one of the most tender. The people who write to me about a child are often tired in a way they do not show at work: tired of hoping and bracing at the same time. Many have been told to relax, as if it were that simple. I do not ask you to relax. I hold the hope for you, so that you can put it down for a while.
Your first names go on paper and are laid in a nest of dried chamomile and rose petals, with rose quartz, a small bowl of water and a white candle for new life. I speak a welcome aloud in the present tense: a body at ease, a heart that feels safe, a home ready for a child, and a little soul welcome whenever it is ready to come. If you are in treatment, I hold the dates you give me, the transfer or the test, with extra care. I stay with it until it feels warm and near.
Your report tells you what I felt around you and your wish, what I worked with and why, and gives you a small ritual for the waiting days, something gentle to do alone or together when the waiting feels long.
What I hold
People have always wished for children with small, hopeful rituals. In Greece a pomegranate, full of seeds, is broken on the doorstep at the New Year, and it has long stood for abundance and fertility. At weddings in many countries, rice or grain was thrown over the couple so that their home would be full. The old ways knew what the law of attraction teaches: what you hold with love, and picture as already here, you begin to draw closer like a magnet. That is why I check in with you, and why my door stays open after that: you can always reply to my e-mail, and I read it and answer you myself. You should always leave my table with more strength, more energy and more clarity than you came with. If that is not the case, I want to hear it.
Questions
Is this a medical treatment?
No. This is a blessing for hope, calm and welcome, and never instead of medical care. For anything about your body or your fertility, your doctor, midwife or fertility clinic is the one to ask. I hold the part they cannot.
Can I order it during IVF or other treatment?
Yes, and many people do. Tell me where you are in your journey and any date that matters, a transfer, a retrieval or a test day, and I hold it with extra care.
We have lost a pregnancy. Is this for us too?
Yes. You can tell me as much or as little as you want. I hold your hope and your grief side by side, gently, and your report is written with that in mind.
Can you tell me when I will get pregnant?
No. This blessing does not predict; it holds. Nothing I do can promise a pregnancy, and I would never pretend otherwise.
Can I order it for my partner and me, or as a gift?
For the two of you together, yes: write both your first names. As a gift, only for someone who knows about it and wants it. This wish is too private to hold for someone without their knowledge.
What can I expect, honestly?
