A Turkish coffee reading without a cup of your own: I brew one in your name, and read what the grounds leave behind, for you alone.
In Turkey and far beyond it, a small cup of coffee has long been more than a drink. When it is finished, the cup is turned over onto its saucer, a wish is made, and a friend reads the shapes the grounds leave on the inside: a bird, a road, a ring, an open door. I love this old way of reading because it is so human, warm and a little playful, and because the cup always seems to know what you came to ask. This reading brings that tradition to you, wherever you are.

How I read for you
I brew a cup of Turkish coffee in your name, with your name and your question beside it, and drink it slowly with you in mind. Then the cup goes over onto its saucer with a wish for you. What is a Turkish coffee reading?
An old way of reading, also called tasseography or coffee cup reading: after the coffee is finished, the cup is turned over onto its saucer and the shapes the grounds leave are read as a picture of what is near and what is coming.
