The internet knows me as the Etsy witch for weather, and I do not mind: more than fifteen hundred brides, festival-goers and holidaymakers have found me that way, and the sky has been kind to most of them. But a surprising number of the names on my table belong to people with a small business of their own. The candle maker whose shop went live to silence. The hairdresser in her second year, which is harder than the first. The coach, the baker, the photographer, the woman with a market stall and a spreadsheet she is afraid to open. I know that feeling from the inside, because my table is a small business too. So here is the other half of the answer to the question I get most: what do you actually do?
This is how I do a business spell, step by step, and what you can do for your own business this week.
First, what a business spell is
In my hands, a business spell is an intention for your work and the people it is meant for, held with full attention: your name and the name of your business on paper, a candle, and words spoken aloud as already true. It does not write your marketing and it does not answer your e-mails. It works on two things no advertising can buy: the way you stand behind your own work, and the way the right people find their way to it. When you believe in what you make, you price it properly, you talk about it without apologising, and the people who need it begin to recognise it.
It is also very old. Shopkeepers have always asked for good trade: the first coin earned, framed above the till; a bowl of salt by the door; basil on the windowsill of the market stall; a new shop blessed before the sign went up; the beckoning cat with its raised paw in shop windows across Japan; citrine in the cash box as the merchant's stone. And it stands on the same ground as the law of attraction: what you picture with feeling, as if it is already so, you draw towards you. I hold that picture of your business with you, and for you.
What happens when your order comes in
Your name and the name of your business go on paper, in my handwriting, with one line about where it stands and what you are asking for: the launch on Monday, the quiet season, the pitch, the next step. Your words, not mine. I keep the papers of one day together, and I sit down with them at my table.
A candle is lit for your work, and beside it a piece of citrine for good trade and a piece of tiger's eye for the nerve to ask what you are worth. Then I do the thing I believe in more than anything else in this work: I speak your intention aloud, in the present tense, as if it is already so. Not "please let people buy", but "this business is seen by the right people, trusted, and paid for what it is worth". And I feel it, in my body, the way you will feel it on a good day: the order that makes you laugh out loud, the regular who brings a friend, the invoice paid on time. I stay there, in a quiet that is yours alone, until the feeling is whole.
I believe words have power and emotions have power, and that when the two meet, something happens that I can only describe as a field. I have watched too many small businesses turn a corner this way to explain it away. I also do not need to explain it. I just do it, every day, for the names on my table.
Then I write to you
When the candle is out, I write down what I noticed while I held your business: the feeling of it, where it is already alive, the one or two places where it is holding back, and the timing as it came to me, in universal terms. That becomes your report. It is written for you alone, from what you shared and what I sensed, and it arrives the same day, seven days a week, during my active hours.
The report ends with one small thing to do this week, and one sentence to say before you open your doors, your laptop or your stall: short, in the present tense, about your work. Most people tell me afterwards that this sentence is the thing they remember.
Your part, and it is the strongest part
Every day for a week: a candle, a glass of water, and your business as if it is already where you want it. See the full diary, the shelf that empties, the message from a customer who tells you what your work did for them. Feel the calm of a business that pays you properly, three slow breaths long. Say your sentence aloud and drink the water. Then do one thing that the owner of that business would do: raise the price you have been afraid to raise, show the work you are proudest of, send the offer, ask for the review. Two people holding one clear picture pull harder than one, and your own choices remain the strongest force there is.
And then I stay with you
This is the part I care about most, and the part that is different from a listing you order and forget. Afterwards I check in with you. You receive my small guide After Your Reading, with the morning ritual: a candle, a glass of water, one sentence, one true feeling, and a thank you. Aftercare is not an extra with me; it is the norm, because this work can shift things, and I want you to leave my table with more strength, energy and clarity than you arrived with.
What comes back to my table
I would rather show you than tell you. These are about rituals held at my table, and I read each of them twice.
"It's just what I expected and more. She provides a very thorough and thoughtful explanation of her process and what can be expected. She's very attentive and warm, it was a very wonderful experience. I will for sure keep her words with me and ask for her services again."
Tamara, September 2026
"An absolute angel. She is thoughtful And so kind, took her time to really explain each step, and I've seen shifts since working with her. Would recommend!"
shellsbells, September 2026
"You can tell she puts real care into her responses and truly wants to help. I always leave feeling like I have more clarity and perspective rather than even more questions."
Naazgol, August 2026
I did not do their work. They did. I held the picture, and something met them halfway.
Which one is yours?
If the business is your own, a shop, a studio, a salon, a practice, a stall, begin with the Business Success Ritual. If what you need most is money moving, financial calm and openness to what is coming, the Money & Abundance Ritual. If there is one day that decides it, a launch, a pitch, a fair, a first market, the Luck & Success Ritual is held for that one day. And if it is not your own business yet but a job, the Career Ritual; I wrote about how I do a job spell as well. Whichever you choose, a reading beside it is half price.
If you would like a stone on your desk or beside the till, citrine and tiger's eye are the two I reach for; you will find both in my guide to crystal meanings.
Is it different on my own site?
Same ritual, same table, same report. Here it is one price, held the same day, seven days a week, with a reading at half price beside it if you want one, and all of the aftercare included. And you can write to me directly, as a real message, at any point. I answer every one myself.
Questions people ask me about business spells
Are you the same Etsy witch who does the weather spells?
Yes. Same table, same candle, same care. Weather is what the internet found first; business, work, love, home and money have been on my table just as long.
What do you need from me for a business spell?
Your first name, the name of your business and one line in your own words about where it stands and what you are asking for. One true detail makes it warmer: what you sell or make, the season it is in, the thing you would love a customer to say.
Can you hold a business spell for a business that is still a plan?
Yes. I hold the first step: the name, the opening, the nerve to begin. Many people order it in the week before they open their doors or go live.
What can I expect?
A ritual held with care on the day you order, a report written for you alone, and afterwards I check in with you. I promise no outcome: this is spiritual guidance, offered for entertainment purposes, alongside good business advice and never instead of it. What I give you is my full attention, and a way to stand behind your own work.
If your question is your own business, begin with the Business Success Ritual. If it is one day, the Luck & Success Ritual. And if you are not sure, the spell finder asks you one question and shows you what I would hold.
Go well, and may the right people find you.
Ivy
