A candle, a bowl of water and your words on paper: this is where every moon ritual begins.
Moon rituals
I am Ivy, and twice a month my table belongs to the moon. On the new moon I plant the intentions people send me, and on the full moon I help them put down what they have carried long enough. It is the oldest rhythm I know: begin, grow, release, and begin again.
This page gathers everything about my moon work in one place: the difference between a new moon and a full moon ritual, which one fits where you are, every moon date until the end of 2027, the old customs behind it, and what people write afterwards.
New moon or full moon ritual?
A new moon ritual plants an intention: something you want to begin, call in or grow, written as if it is already true. A full moon ritual releases: something that has run its course, held up to the light and let go. Mine are held at my table on the day of the moon itself, with a written report the day after.
Many people do both in the same month, two weeks apart. They tell me the second one lands differently because of the first: what was released at the full moon leaves room for what is planted at the new moon.
Which moon ritual is yours?
Both moon rituals are held at my table on the day of the moon and come with a written report, a check-in from me afterwards, and my guide After Your Reading. Order until the day before the moon; anything that arrives later joins the moon after that, and I tell you so by e-mail.

You are ready to let go

A second name can join the same moon under the button, and a 1, 3 or Unlimited Questions Reading added to a moon ritual is half price, applied automatically at checkout. Each month I also hold one special ritual for a moment in the year; you find it with both moon rituals in my Moon & moments collection.
On the shortest day, Monday 21 December, I hold one more ritual between the December moons: Return of the Light. Everything about it is on my page about the winter solstice ritual.
What happens at my table
-
You write me your words
Your first name, your date of birth, and one sentence in your own words. For the new moon, what you want to begin, written as if it is already true. For the full moon, what you are putting down, written as already done.
-
I hold them on the day of the moon
Your name goes on paper with your words beneath it, exactly as you wrote them. A candle is lit for you, and I speak your words aloud in the light of that moon, seeds and green aventurine beside a new moon intention, a bowl of water and amethyst beside a full moon release, until it feels planted or finished.
-
I write to you
Your report arrives on the day of the moon itself, written for you alone: what I felt as your words were held, what I worked with and why, and a few small gestures to carry with you in the days that follow.
-
And I stay with you
Afterwards I check in with you, you receive my small guide After Your Reading, and my door stays open: you can always reply to my e-mail, and I read it and answer you myself.
The old new moon customs, and a small ritual for your own table, are in my letter on the new moon of October 2026, and my letter on the new moon in Scorpio of 9 November 2026 is about planting an intention deep.

People have always kept time by the moon
Long before calendars hung on kitchen walls, the moon was the calendar. The English word month still carries the moon inside it, from the Old English monath, and in many traditions a new month begins only when the first thin crescent of the new moon is seen in the sky. In Britain people used to bow to the new moon and turn the coins in their pocket, so their money would grow with it. And the full moon has long been a time for gathering: in China the Mid-Autumn Festival is kept at the full moon of the eighth lunar month, with family, lanterns and mooncakes, and in English the full moon of October is often called the Hunter's Moon; I wrote about it in my letter on the full moon of October 2026.
Under all of them sits the same simple idea I work with: picture what you want as if it is already here, feel it, and you begin to draw it towards you. The moon simply gives that picture a rhythm. I hold it with you twice a month, on purpose, and with my whole attention.
How I hold a moon ritual
Every intention and every release I hold is about your own life: what you want to begin, what you are ready to put down, how you want to feel. When someone else is part of your story, I hold your side of it with care, your peace, your courage and your clarity, and their choices stay with them.
A moon ritual gives your words a place and a date. The steps that follow are yours, and that is exactly what makes them strong. Many people tell me the ritual is what finally made them start.
What people write about my rituals
I am grateful for every word that comes back after a ritual. Here are a few of them, exactly as they were written.
★★★★★It's just what I expected and more. She provides a very thorough and thoughtful explanation of her process and what can be expected. She's very attentive and warm, it was a very wonderful experience.
Tamara · Ritual · Etsy, September 2026
★★★★★You can tell she puts real care into her responses and truly wants to help. I always leave feeling like I have more clarity and perspective rather than even more questions.
Naazgol · Ritual · Etsy, August 2026
★★★★★Wonderful and helpful insight when I needed it the most
Lara · Ritual · Etsy, September 2026
★★★★★I feel a weight lifted off my shoulders thank you!! Will come back soon

See it, feel it, draw it in
There is a part that is yours, and it is the strongest part. On the day of the moon, light a candle and pour a glass of water. For a new moon, write one sentence about what you want as if it has already happened, read it aloud, and feel what that is like. For a full moon, write down what you are putting down, read it aloud as already done, and tear the paper up. Drink the water.
Then, on the day after, do one small thing that the person in your sentence would do. That is where the new month really begins.
Questions about moon rituals
What is the difference between a new moon and a full moon ritual?
A new moon ritual plants an intention for something you want to begin, call in or grow. A full moon ritual releases something you are ready to put down. Both are held at my table on the day of the moon, with a written report the day after.
When should I order a moon ritual?
Any time until the end of the day before the moon. Your ritual is held on the moon itself and your report arrives the day after. Anything that arrives later joins the next moon, and I tell you so by e-mail.
What should I write as my intention?
One sentence, in your own words, as if it is already true: "I am in the job that fits me" works better than "I hope to find a job". For a full moon, write what you are putting down as already done. One is stronger than three.
Can I do both in the same month?
Yes, and many people do. Release at the full moon, then plant at the new moon two weeks later; the space you cleared gives your intention room to grow.
How much does a moon ritual cost?
The New Moon Intention Ritual and the Full Moon Release Ritual each cost €8.88, including the ritual on the day of the moon, your written report and a check-in afterwards.
One last thing
Bring your words to the next moon
Whatever you want to begin or put down, there is a moon for it within two weeks. Send me your words, and I will hold them in its light with care.
