Who are my spirit guides? How they reach you, and how I read them for you

Ivy with her eyes closed and her hands at her temples, listening

You were about to say yes, and something made you wait a day. A song came on at the exact moment you were thinking of her. You woke at four in the morning with an answer you had gone to bed without. And somewhere between the second and the third time, you began to wonder who, exactly, keeps doing that.

If you have ever typed who are my spirit guides into a search bar, this letter is for you. It tells you what a spirit guide is, how old the idea is, how they tend to reach you, what I do when you ask me to read yours, and how to begin a conversation with them tonight.

What is a spirit guide?

A spirit guide is a presence that walks beside you through your life and wants one thing for you: that you become fully yourself. Traditions call them ancestors, angels, teachers or the quiet voice that knows. They reach you through nudges, timing, dreams and signs, and the friendship grows the way every friendship does, through attention.

Older than any of us

Almost every culture has a word for the one who walks beside you. Socrates spoke openly of his daimonion, a voice he had known since childhood that stopped him whenever he was about to take a wrong step, and he trusted it to the end of his life. Every Roman was born with a genius, a guardian spirit of their own, and gave it a small offering on each birthday. Its name is still with you every time you call someone a genius. In the old North a fylgja followed each person from birth, often in the shape of an animal. The Catholic calendar has kept a feast for the guardian angels on 2 October for centuries. And in homes from Mexico to China, the ancestors have a place at the table, a photograph, a cup, a flame.

What moves me is how alike they are. Different names, different centuries, and the same experience underneath: I am accompanied. People have always known it, and only recently became a little shy about saying it out loud.

How they tend to reach you

Guides are quiet company. They use what is already in your day. People describe a nudge just before a decision, a calm that arrives from nowhere, a sentence in a book that seems to have been left there for them, the same number on three clocks, a feather on a doorstep, a dream that is still vivid at lunch. One sign on its own is a lovely moment. A pattern is a conversation, and you are allowed to answer.

How I read them for you

When you order a Spirit Guides Reading, I read from what you share: your full name, your date of birth, and what you would like to ask, in your own words. I sit with it in quiet until the first presence comes through, and I write down what I receive: how each guide feels, the role they hold for you, the message they have for this season, and the ways they tend to get your attention.

I describe presence, role and message, because that is what you can use. Sometimes a name comes, and then I give it. More often what comes is a way of being with you: the one who steadies, the one who opens doors, the one who makes you laugh at yourself at the right moment. Your reading is in your inbox within the hour, seven days a week, during my active hours, with a small evening practice to ask and to listen, and afterwards I check in with you.

See it, feel it, draw it in

Here is what I believe, and what I work with every day. What you hold in your mind with feeling, you draw towards you, the way a magnet does. That is the heart of the law of attraction, and it is true of company too. The more clearly you picture their support and feel it as already there, the more of it you notice, and the more of it you draw in.

So tonight, light a candle and pour a glass of water. Sit with your back straight and your hands open, and imagine someone who loves you standing just behind your shoulder. Feel what it does to your breathing to be backed like that, three slow breaths long. Then ask one question aloud, a real one, and say: I am accompanied, and I am listening. Drink the water, blow out the candle and go to sleep. Keep a pen beside your bed, because answers like the hour before waking. In the days that follow, say thank you out loud each time you notice something. Gratitude is how you tell them which language you understood.

What came back to my table

"Ivy described three Spirit Guides, no names or identities limiting their channel. She described their individual roles, messages, and ways of communicating. I appreciate the awareness that my Spirit Guides work as a team for me to become fully myself."

joyce, September 2026

"I am so so happy to have found Ivy, she is, inhumanly fast and accurate. It's obvious she takes her craft seriously, responds fast and I am so glad to have met my spirit guides through her."

Sonntagskind, August 2026

I read every one of these twice. The guides were theirs all along. I only wrote down who was standing there.

Which depth is mine?

The Spirit Guides Reading comes in three depths. Whisper, €11.11: the guide who stands closest to you now, their role and their message. Revelation, €22.22: your guides together, the role of each, their messages and the signs they use. This is the depth most people choose. Full Unveiling, €33.33: everything in Revelation, plus how to work with each of them day to day, the question you have been carrying, answered with them, and what they ask of you this year.

And when you are ready to begin the conversation yourself, I wrote down how to work with your spirit guides: how to ask, how to listen, and how to know it is them.

If what comes up feels older than this life, the Past Life Reading is the natural next step. And amethyst is the stone I keep close for this work: this is why.

Questions people ask me about spirit guides

Will you tell me the names of my guides?

Sometimes a name comes, and then I give it. More often what comes is a presence, a role and a way of speaking, and that is what I write down. I give you what is true and useful, every time.

How many spirit guides does a person have?

It differs. Sometimes one presence stands clearly in front, sometimes several come through with a role each. I write down who is there for you in this season, and only that.

Do I need to believe in spirit guides?

Come curious, that is enough. Whether you read your guides as beings or as the wisest part of yourself, the messages are written for you alone, and you will recognise them.

Can I ask my guides a specific question?

Yes. Write it in the field when you order. At Revelation and Full Unveiling depth I answer it with them.

What can I expect?

A reading written with care for you alone, within the hour during my active hours, and afterwards I check in with you. I promise no outcome: this is spiritual guidance, offered for entertainment purposes, alongside good advice and never instead of it. What I give you is my full attention, and a way to notice the company you already keep.

You have been walked home more often than you know. Say hello tonight.
