A green candle, a piece of citrine and your name on paper: this is where every career spell begins.
Career and success spells
I am Ivy, and work is the question people bring to my table with the most hope in their voice. A new job, a promotion, a business that is finally yours, an interview you have been preparing for. Do you do success spells? I do. At my table a career spell works on the side of the story that is yours: your courage, your clarity, and the road opening in front of you.
This page gathers all my work and success spells in one place: what a career spell is, which one fits the step you are taking, what happens at my table, the old custom it stands on, and what people write afterwards.
What is a career spell?
A career spell is a ritual for your working life. I sit down at my table with your name, your work and the step you are hoping for, and I hold that step in candlelight, with stones and herbs chosen for you. A job spell is for a new position or an interview, a success spell is for whatever you are hoping will go your way, and a business spell is for the shop, the studio or the practice that is yours.
A career spell works on you and around you, and it always leaves everyone else free: the confidence you walk in with, the clarity of what you want, and the doors that are ready to open. That is where old success magic has always worked, and it is where mine works too.
Which career or success spell is yours?
Each spell is held at my table the same day and written into a report for you alone. Every order also comes with a check-in from me and my guide After Your Reading, to keep.

What happens at my table
-
You tell me about the step you are taking
When you order, you write a few lines about your work: the job you want, the interview coming up, the business you are building. Your own words matter more than perfect ones. If there is a date, give it to me, and I hold it in mind.
-
I hold your spell the same day
I set your name and your step at the centre of my table, with a candle and the stones and herbs I choose for you: something for courage, something for clarity, something for the road ahead. I speak your step aloud as if it is already yours, and I stay with the flame until it feels settled.
-
I write to you
Your report tells you what I felt at my table, what I worked with and why I chose it for you, and a few small gestures to carry with you into the interview, the launch or the new role.
-
And I stay with you
I check in with you, and you can always reply to my e-mail: I read it and answer you. My guide After Your Reading comes with every order, to keep.
Curious how this looks from my side? I wrote about how I hold a job spell, step by step, about how I hold a business spell, and about how I hold a luck spell.
Success magic is as old as ambition
In Japan, people who begin something new often buy a daruma: a round, red papier-mâché figure with a stern, kind face and two blank white eyes. You paint in one eye on the day you set your goal. The second eye stays empty until the goal is reached, and every time the daruma looks at you with its one eye, it reminds you what you promised yourself. The figure is modelled on Bodhidharma, the monk remembered as the founder of Zen, and its round, weighted base means it always rolls back upright when you knock it over.
A saying goes with it: nana korobi ya oki, fall down seven times, get up eight. Many daruma are made in and around Takasaki, home of the temple Shorinzan Daruma-ji, and at the turn of the year people bring their old figures back to a temple, where they are burned with thanks and a new daruma is chosen for the year ahead. I love that. A goal, an eye painted with intention, and the patience to get back up. It is how I hold a career spell: one clear wish, held with care, and the steadiness to keep rising.
How I hold a career spell
A career spell works on your side of the story. It gathers your courage, clears your head and opens the road, and it leaves every employer, client and colleague free to choose for themselves. It walks beside your own preparation: the application you send, the practice you put in, the people you talk to. That is where luck likes to find you.
If you would rather see the road before you step onto it, a Career Reading is a gentle place to begin. I read your work, your path and your direction, and you decide what to do with it.
What people write after a career or luck spell
I am grateful for every word people send me after a reading or a spell. These are a few of them, exactly as they were written.

See it, feel it, draw it in
Before your next application, interview or launch, take a piece of paper and write one sentence about your work as if it is already true: "I love the work I do in my new role." Read it once and close your eyes. See yourself there: the desk, the people, the moment someone says your name with respect. Feel what it is like to have arrived.
What you hold in your mind with feeling, you draw towards you like a magnet. That is the law of attraction, and it is what the daruma does with its one painted eye: it keeps your goal in front of you until your steps catch up with it. Keep the paper where you see it, and let it remind you who you are becoming.
Questions about career spells
What is a career spell?
A career spell is a ritual for your working life: a new job, a promotion, an interview, a business or a change of direction. I hold it at my table the same day, with a candle, stones and herbs chosen for you, and write you a report about what I felt.
Do success spells work?
What people describe afterwards is a change in themselves: more courage, a clearer head, and the feeling that a road has opened. A success spell works on your side of the story, alongside everything you do yourself. You can read what people wrote in my reviews.
Can a job spell help me with one particular job?
Yes, I can hold that job, that interview and your name together at my table, and I do so with care. The choice stays with the people hiring, so the spell works on what is yours: how you prepare, how you walk in and how clearly you speak about what you can do.
Which career spell should I choose?
For a new job, an interview or a promotion, the Job Spell: Career Ritual. For a plan or a fresh start you hope will go your way, the Good Luck Spell. For your own shop, studio or practice, the Business Success Spell. If you are still choosing, begin with a Career Reading.
How much does a career spell cost?
The Job Spell, the Good Luck Spell and the Business Success Spell are €8.88 each, the Exam & Interview Blessing is €7.77, and a Career Reading starts at €2.22. Every order comes with a check-in from me and my guide After Your Reading.
Is a career spell safe?
Yes. It is held in light, it works on your own path and it leaves everyone else free. There is nothing for you to perform at home: you receive my report and a few small gestures to carry with you.
One last thing
Let me hold your next step
Work takes up so much of a life, and the step you are hoping for deserves more than worry. Put it down on my table. I will hold it with care, and I would love to hear afterwards how it went.
